Alyssa and BJ were a great couple to photograph! We will be doing their wedding next summer and I photographed their engagement session a few weeks ago. They definitely brought in their personality with their motorcycle! Their engagement session was a lot of. We took photographs in the favorite downtown locations, in studio, and Independence park. Spooktacular Charity Halloween Event!

On Sunday, October 31st, we held our annual Spooktacular Charity Halloween Event. During this event we had over 100 kids come to the studio to have their Halloween portrait taken in exchange for a canned food item to be donated to the local food shelf. We have well over 100 items to be donated!! An even bigger turn out then last year!! Thank you to all that came to the food event and donated food for this wonderful cause! This last Saturday, October 23rd, we photographed the wedding of Jessica and Jesse. They were a fun couple to photograph and their wedding party and family were as equally fun! The wedding was held in Marshall, MN and we captured so many beautiful moments and portraits of the Jesse and Jessica's day. In addition to the photographing at the church we also went to Independence Park for many stunning portraits as well. The one below is one of the many from the park. Elizabeth also brought her dog into the photos! She is also involved in figure skating and marching band so we for sure had to get a few portraits of those themes in as well! Saturday, October 16th, we photographed the wedding of Kathy and Tony in Minneota, MN. It was a perfect fall day for their wedding. Kathy looked gorgeous! The couple were great to work with and it was such an honor to capture their wedding day. We got some terrific photos of the couple at the church and later in a field with hay bales and a corn field. I photographed Nathan for his high school senior session. We did some in studio shots as well as on location. We went to the baseball field for some great shots there of him and his baseball gear. We also sent downtown for a few urban photos and he even brought out his dog for a few! Lastly, we ventured to the train station for some great portraits. My favorite from the session is the one below taken at the very rustic train station. Check out the video for more!

On October 9th we traveled to Minneota, MN to photograph the lovely wedding of Cassey and Joey. It was a warm autumn day filled with beautiful fall colors. Cassey was simply gorgeous and Joey looked pretty good too! The couple have a beautiful 2 year old girl together that was just the cutest flower girl. We got a ton of fun photographs of the wedding party at a nearby playground and the couple at the river and downtown Minneota. The couple were wonderful to work with! This past Saturday, October 2nd, the wedding of Amanda and Paul brought us to Milan, MN. It was a beautiful day for a fall wedding. The couple looked beautiful and you could see how much they love each other throughout the entire day. The couple had the most stunning fall flowers ever and we loved all the fall shades that were apart of the day. We captured beautiful portraits of the couple and wedding party at the church and then later headed to a nearby playground and also Lac qui Parle Lake. After the ceremony we made a stop at the house of Amanda's parents. They have a huge beautiful maple tree that was turning colors at just the right time. This past Saturday, September 25th, we photographed the wedding of Samantha and Ben at Liberty Park in Marshall, MN. After a few days of very heavy rainfall, the weather cleared up for Sam and Ben's wedding day. The sun even made an appearance to make their day a perfect day to get married outside in the fall. The couple are both in the army and were overseas together protecting our country. How wonderful is that? They are hands down the most fun couple we have ever photographed along with their wedding party and family. There was never a dull moment! Everything from cowboy boots, to belt buckles, to cowboy hats was at this western theme wedding. We captured the western theme in some creative and romantic photographs both at the park and downtown. We also traveled to the Cottonwood Community Center in Cottonwood, MN for the reception fun. It was truly an honor to photograph their wedding and their beautiful family! Nick - Class of 2011

Nick, a local senior, came to us for his senior photographs. He plays football so Mattke field was the perfect location for his football photographs. Yesterday, September 18th we photographed the wedding of Kim and Kory. Their amazing wedding took place in Tracy, MN. It was a perfect fall wedding with shades of brown, orange, and red. We had a great time with Kim and Kory and their wedding party at the park near by the church where we captured so many fun memories! The couple had a beautiful ceremony that celebrated their sincere love for each other. After the ceremony we took more timeless wedding portraits of the couple at the lake. These are some of our favorite wedding shots! (the one below just might be the all-time favorite!) Their reception took place at Key Largo and was decorated perfectly with fall decor! Amy - Class of 2011

Senior season is in full swing now and Amy was one of the first seniors to come and have her photos taken this summer. She was so fun to photograph because she was so excited about her senior photos. We love that! We took some photos at Camden State Park, downtown Marshall, a beautiful wheat field, the train depot and of course the studio. The day couldn't of been better: stunning bride, beautiful weather, and an atmosphere filled ivory roses and shades of soft purple. We made sure we captured some truly romantic photos of the couple at a Victorian house with a small vineyard located in Marshall. We photographed the wedding of Whitney and Fred on Saturday, July 3, 2010 in Worthington, Minnesota. Whitney was one of the most stunning brides ever and Fred wasn't bad himself either! The wedding of Kari and Mike took place in Marshall, MN on Saturday, June 25th. The weather that day was calm and beautiful in the morning and pretty rainy with a few tornado warnings that night. But that didn't stop us from getting beautiful photographs! We went to Independence park with the couple and their wedding party. The park perfect setting for the couple. Then, we traveled to a small Dairy Queen in town for some totally fun and cute photos! After the ceremony is when things started to get a little interesting. All of a sudden the rain started coming down in buckets and the wind picked up greatly. The tornado sirens went off and everyone was back in the church, even the horses that were going to pull the getaway wagon! In the end it was a beautiful day and the couple definitely has a great story to tell! Be sure to watch the preview video! Congratulations Kari and Mike!

On Friday, June 25th, we photographed the wedding of Kelsey and Jake in Luverne, MN. It was such a beautiful day. The couple was so wonderful to work with and Kelsey of course looked stunning. We took the couple and the wedding party downtown Luverne for some fun and casual shots. We also headed to a vintage church for romantic photographs of the two. The ceremony was beautiful lit with hundreds of candles. We then headed to Brandon, SD for the reception at the golf course. We were able to get some fantastic photos on the gorgeous green! On Saturday, June 19th, we traveled to Crooks, South Dakota for the wedding of Kristi and Zack. Kristi and Zack were such a wonderful couple to work with and their wedding was wonderful as well. They had a perfect warm and sunny day with blue skies. We also photographed the couple at the scenic Japanese Garden in Sioux Falls, SD. Along with the park we also went to a gas station to get a few photos. Zack and Kristi met in a gas station so photographing at the station was perfect for the couple! We recently photographed the engagement session of Samantha and Andy. For their session we did some indoor photos at the studio and at the diner scene at the Lyon County Museum. We went downtown for some urban shots and then to Camden State Park for some beautiful shots in the nature. One of the favorites from the session is the photo below. This was taken in Camden State Park where the couple actually had their first date. I love the long grass for the background. We can't wait to photograph the wedding of Andy and Samantha later this fall. Be sure to check out the video for more!

This past Saturday the wedding of Shayna and Chris brought us to Minneota, MN. Chris and Shayna's wedding was full of shades of pink, beautiful details, and gorgeous flowers. Even though it did rain quite a bit that day, it did clear up for us to take some photos outside the church in Minneota. The ceremony was lovely with beautiful music. Charlene and Jamie

On Friday, June 11th, we traveled to Wagner, South Dakota for the wedding of Charlene and Jamie. Charlene and Jamie were a stunning couple. You could see the love they have for each other though out the entire day. The rain stayed away and allowed us to get wonderful photographs at Wagner Lake with the couple and the wedding party. We also went to a farm with Charlene and Jamie for some great farm photos with a John Deere tractor! Jamie and Charlene are a great couple and it was such an honor to capture their day. Whitney and Fred

I recently photographed the engagement session of Whitney and Fred. They were such a wonderful couple to photograph, very nice and up for anything! We took some photos in the studio and went on location to the laundry mat and downtown Marshall. My absolute favorite photos from the session are the ones from the laundry mat. I love the setting. The wedding of Amanda and Aaron brought us to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It was a beautiful day and their wedding could not of been more perfect. Aaron and Amanda are such a wonderful couple and their love for each other was inspiring. Vibrant shades of lime green accents were gorgeous for the photos at the park with the wedding party. We even took the bride and groom downtown for some urban bridal shots (many of these are my favorites!!). The couple had a beautiful ceremony and reception. On Saturday, May 29th, we traveled to Brookings, SD to photograph the wedding of Brady and Leeann. The wedding was beautiful with incredible details. The couple, the wedding party, and the family were a joy to work with with. We were able to capture some breathtaking photographs of the couple at the McCrory gardens and some super cute photos of the couple at the baseball diamond. We traveled on location to Sioux Falls to shoot Molly and Mike's engagement session. The locations of choice for the session included the Falls Park, the Japanese Garden, and the Sertoma Butterfly House. Mike and Molly are such a fun couple and were so enjoyable to work with! Braylon and Aaliyah, adorable brother and sister, both celebrated their birthday and came to the studio to capture them 1 year older. Braylon is three years old and Aaliyah just turned one! We got outdoors and took some super cute urban photos of the two. My favorite from their session is below. I love their little bare feet in the steps in the alley and Aaliyah's expression. I recently photographed Kendra and Brett for their engagement photographs. They are a great couple and I had a wonderful time photographing them. The day of their session was a chilly, rainy spring day. That didn't stop us from getting wonderful portraits. We went outdoors for some in a nearby park and downtown. The bottom feature photo from the session (Yes, there are two. I just couldn't pick one!) is a beautiful shot of the couple downtown. I just love the umbrella!! The second feature photo from the blog is one taken from the diner scene in the Lyon County Museum. The museum is right next door to the studio and I have always wanted to take an engagement couple there. This photo from the dinner is a definite favorite!
